Forward Deployed AI Engineer Location: Berlin, Onsite Travel: ~50% client-site in DACH region Experience: 3+ years Duration : Initial 6 Months with a view to go permanent Rate : €385 - €455 per day The RoleWe're looking for a Forward Deployed AI Engineer who can turn ambiguous business challenges into working AI solutions — moving quickly from ideas and prototypes to production. You'll work directly with clients while remaining hands-on technically, combining strong engineering skills with a modern, agent-first approach to development.
Key Responsibilities Orchestrate AI agents to build and deliver solutions at speed Take AI projects from PoC through to production-ready MVP Build data pipelines and ML workflows Train, deploy and monitor ML models Develop and deploy cloud-based web services, ideally on Azure Integrate solutions with client systems Translate business challenges into practical technical solutions Work closely with clients and internal engineering squads About You 3+ years' experience building scalable, production-grade software Strong Python and SQL skills Hands-on production ML experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow or scikit-learn Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure Experience with secure web applications and PostgreSQL Comfortable working with AI agents, Claude Code and AI evals Strong client-facing and communication skills Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-paced environments C1+ German for client communication
