Position : Full Stack Developer (Frontend and Backend) - Area 43, Plot No. 749, Lilongwe, Malawi We’re currently seeking a highly-skilled Full Stack Developer who is comfortable with frontend and backend development to join our team and build the next generation of ecommerce web applications. In this pivotal role, you will design, develop, and maintain comprehensive web applications, managing everything from the user interface to the server-side logic.

Responsibilities : Frontend Development Design and develop user interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript , and modern frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js. Ensure the UI/UX design is implemented correctly, making the application visually appealing and user-friendly. Optimise frontend performance to ensure a smooth and responsive user experience. Backend Development Develop server-side logic using Node.js, Python, Ruby, Java, or PHP programming languages.

Create and manage databases using technologies like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Mongo DB, or SQLite. Develop and integrate APIs with frontend components to enable seamless communication between the client and server. Database Management Design, implement, and maintain databases to store and retrieve data efficiently. Perform database migrations, optimisations, and backups to ensure data integrity and security.

Implement caching mechanisms to improve application performance. Version Control Use version control systems like GIT to track code changes and collaborate with other developers. Manage and resolve merge conflicts to ensure codebase integrity. Deployment and DevOps Automate deployment processes using CI/CD pipelines to ensure consistent and error-free releases. Manage server environments, including setting up and configuring web servers, load balancers, and other infrastructure components.

Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues in real-time to ensure minimal downtime. Security Implementation Implement security best practices, such as data encryption, authentication, and authorisation, to protect the application from vulnerabilities. Conduct regular security audits and code reviews to identify and fix potential security flaws. Cross-Platform Optimisation Ensure web apps are compatible with browsers, devices, and operating systems.

Optimise applications for mobile responsiveness and cross-platform functionality. Project Management and Collaboration Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and other developers, to deliver projects on time and within scope. Participate in code reviews, provide feedback, and ensure code quality across the team. Communicate progress, challenges, and updates with stakeholders to keep the project on track.

Learning and Improvement Stay updated with industry technologies and trends to improve skills and enhance development. Experiment with new tools and frameworks to find innovative solutions to complex problems. Contribute to open-source projects or internal knowledge bases to share expertise and help the development community grow. Testing and Quality Assurance Write and execute unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure code quality and functionality.

Debug and resolve issues reported by QA teams or end-users, ensuring a high standard of application reliability and performance.
