High-End Designer – AI Training Expert (Remote) Hourly Contract | Remote | $100–$200/hour Mercor is seeking experienced Designers to create, review, and validate prompt-based questions designed for training cutting-edge AI models. Your deep expertise in visual systems, UX/UI design, branding, or creative strategy will help AI systems understand and simulate multi-modal design processes across diverse sectors, including education, retail, architecture, tech, and culture.

Ideal Qualifications: 5+ years of professional experience in UI/UX, branding, product design, or a related field. Bachelor’s degree in Design, Architecture, Industrial Design, Interaction Design, or related discipline. Based in the U.S., Canada, New Zealand, UK, or Australia. Proven track record creating high-quality visual designs (websites/apps, branding/marketing materials). Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Strong attention to detail and experience with LLMs and generative AI prompting (preferred). Job Responsibilities: Develop and refine prompt-based questions for AI training, reflecting authentic design processes and creative workflows. Validate and ensure accuracy, clarity, and relevance of AI prompts and responses. Job Details: Fully remote and flexible asynchronous work schedule. Initial workload: 10–20 hours per week, with potential to expand to 40 hours.

Project duration: Minimum commitment of 1–2 months, with potential for extension. Role start: Early to mid-August, with rolling application review. Interview Process: Short AI-driven interview exploring your design expertise, creative workflows, UX/UI strategies, and systemic thinking. Portfolio review and screen-sharing walkthrough of selected design showcasing your fundamentals and aesthetics (~25 minutes).
