HIPAA EDI Prog/Analyst

Complete Description: *local candidates strongly preferred *ALL candidates MUST be able to attend a personal interview, NO phone interviews, NO Skype, NO exceptions Serve as a senior EDI Analyst for the technical design, development, testing and support of Electronic Data Interchange processes. Hands on experience in compliance checking, mapping, validating and processing HIPAA EDI claims transactions (X12 837 / NCPDP D.0) is required for this position.

Experience in MMIS is a plus. Requires proven knowledge of HIPAA EDI and XML standards and associated communication protocols. Extensive knowledge of translators and EDI related integration aspects. Knowledge of various network and internet technologies and communication protocols: TCP/IP, FTP, HTTP, AS2, etc. Coordination of testing and deployment of EDI partner relationships. Required 8 Years Experience with HIPAA X12 837 and NCPDP D.0 transactions, HIPAA EDI compliance requirements and tools, and implementations using the X12 and NCPDP Im Required 7 Years Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate both orally and in writing Required 8 Years Exposure to and basic understanding of relational databases, SQL and its practical uses in an Oracle environment Required 7 Years Exposure to Java EE related technologies Required 5 Years Exposure to IBM EDI related products like WTX, IIB Required 7 Years Experience setting up EDI tools and systems that support file transfer between an EDI Gateway and trading partners Required 7 Years Working knowledge of emerging technology, tools, and standards, including SOA, HL7, web technologies, and integration and data warehouse/reporting pro Highly desired 5 Years Ability to work independently, plan and complete work assignments Required 10 Years
