To Apply for this Job Click Here Job ID: 890075 Estimated Weekly Gross: $2,138.13 Job Title Registered Nurse (RN) – IMC / PCU / Stepdown (Med/Tele) Location Bismarck, ND | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Night Shift | 7p–7a | Every other weekend and every other holiday required Key Responsibilities Provide nursing care on a 32-bed telemetry/cardiac unit serving adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including cardiac cath, EP studies, pacers, sepsis, pneumonia, ETOH, BiPAP-dependent patients, and acute-on-chronic conditions Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4–5 (occasional 1:5–6 on nights); provide PCU-level overflow care at a 1:3 ratio Titrate drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitroglycerin, Nipride, Lasix, and low-dose Dopamine Read and independently interpret telemetry strips ; unit utilizes portable tele monitors, in-room monitors, and a nurses' station monitor tech Manage respiratory therapy equipment such as BiPAP, trachs, and Airvo, including troubleshooting as needed Float as a helping hand to all areas; may take full patient assignments in PCU or MS, and assist with ER holds/boarding Required Qualifications Active RN license BLS certification required ACLS certification required PCU experience required; must be able to read and interpret cardiac strips Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible Candidates may not currently hold full-time, part-time, or PRN employment with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity Health All requested time off (7 days or fewer per 13-week contract) must be submitted upfront; additional RTO will not be approved Preferred Experience / Skills Experience with Epic EMR preferred Telemetry/cardiac nursing background strongly preferred First-time travelers are welcome to apply Why Join Us Work on a dynamic cardiac/telemetry unit with a supportive charge nurse structure on every shift and nursing aide support Schedule flexibility considered based on unit needs, with blocked scheduling options available To Apply for this Job Click Here
