Job Description Job Description & RequirementsResponsibilities Ensure all 4 pool entry gates at the 50-metre pool and 1 gate at the infant pool are locked when unsupervised by a PE teacher or coach. Maintain vigilant supervision of all students in and around the pools, remaining alert to potential risks and hazards. Conduct student headcounts at the start and end of every aquatics session. Clear the pool of all students at the conclusion of each session.
Prevent students from entering the pool before a PE teacher or coach is present. Inspect tiles visually after kayak sessions; report and close lanes immediately if damage is identified. Enforce pool and diving board rules, and remind swimmers of safety practices. Conduct regular safety inspections of facilities and equipment to identify and mitigate hazards. Follow the College’s Emergency Action Plan (EAP) and respond promptly to emergencies (rescues, first aid, CPR).
