To Apply for this Job Click Here Job ID: 881174 Estimated Weekly Gross: $2,026.25 Job Title Travel RN – NICU Location San Marcos, TX | Level 2 NICU Schedule / Job Type Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Projected Start: September 21, 2026 Key Responsibilities Provide routine and complex nursing care in a Level 2 Neonatal ICU setting, practicing independently and demonstrating awareness of all relevant aspects of patient situations Utilize the nursing process — including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation — consistent with ANA Scope and Standards of Practice Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocols; monitor for side effects and effectiveness Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and thoroughly May float to mother/baby unit as needed; assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers Required Qualifications Active RN license in the state of Texas or a compact state license Current STABLE (Post-resuscitation/Pre-transport Stabilization Care of Sick Infants) certification required (Participant, Lead Instructor, or Support Instructor) Current BLS certification required (American Heart Association only) Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required Minimum 1 year of experience in NICU or related neonatal nursing specialty Preferred Experience / Skills Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Experience in a Perinatal setting or completion of a Perinatal RN Residency program Demonstrated ability to make appropriate assignments and delegate effectively to other care team members Why Join Us Opportunity to work in a specialized Level 2 NICU environment with a structured onboarding and competency validation process to support your success Gain valuable travel nursing experience in a full-time, 13-week contract with a defined schedule and clear start and end dates To Apply for this Job Click Here
