Online Editor - Snowboardermag.com, Powdermag.com Reports to: Online Business Manager, Snowboarder Magazine publisher, Powder Magazine Publisher Description: This position supports the Action Sports Group’s (ASG) commitment to producing high-quality online content and other online and written material as assigned. The successful applicant is responsible for the maintenance and management of snowboardermag.com and powdermag.com.
Primary Responsibilities: • Gather, develop, write, edit, and post web content, photos and video as needed for snowboardermag.com and powdermag.com. • Develop and implement a business plan to grow the online traffic and unique visitors for snowboardermag.com and powdermag.com. • Keep informed on all things related to snowboarding and skiing. • Provide editorial and production support on web projects and other communications and publishing projects as assigned.
• Perform daily web site operations and maintenance. Skills: • Proven superior editing skills • Superior proofreading skills (for print and electronic material) • Excellent written and oral communications skills • Excellent ability to gather and synthesize information into easily understandable prose • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and directly with customers/clients and colleagues • Ability to work independently and in a team environment • Ability to work in a multitasking, fast-paced, high-energy environment • Ability to take direction • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Expertise in MS Office suite • Willingness to travel.

Education/Experience: • Intense passion for snowboarding and skiing • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Journalism or English) required • Writing experience • Experience producing graphics for the web • Experience as a Web editor/writer highly desirable • Experience with Final Cut Pro highly desirable • Experience with photography and video highly desirable • Experience with a Content Management System (CMS) or other web publishing software highly desirable Salary: • $30,000 annually with benefits
