PRODUCT DESIGNER

•Innovatively originates and develops ideas to design the form of manufactured products: Reads publications, attends showings, and maintains pulse of current market trends and forecasts future trends and movements within relevant industries •Evaluates design concept based on factors such as aesthetics, design-function relationships, fashion trends, materials and methods of construction, application, retail price, production costs, methods of production, market characteristics, as well as client specifications and direction.

•Integrates findings and concepts into excellent design sketches to communicate ideas. Prepares illustrations for in house meeting and clients •Possesses the ability to interpret CAD drawings/files. Design of products for custom and mainstream applications for multiple categories. Required to have specialized product knowledge and manufacturing techniques of soft goods as well as hard goods. Including bags, luggage •Strong computer skills with MAC or PC •Strong sketching and visualization skills •Rendering skill is required •Must be creative and innovative •Adobe Illustrator CS3, Adobe Photoshop CS3 is a must •Microsoft Office primarily Excel and Entourage(Outlook) •SolidWorks, Rhino 3D, CAD Modeling Experience a plus
