Product Manager for Reality Capture

Overview Reality capture is rapidly increasing as a source for both 2D and 3D base maps, asset management, and change detection. As a product manager, you’ll have the opportunity to bring your strong experience and background in reality capture from aerial, drone, and terrestrial platforms and help the industry transition to the generation of DSM orthomosaics and 3D mesh. You will take the workflows and requirements of the aerial survey and national mapping industries and help translate them into the capabilities and functional requirements of ArcGIS.

Responsibilities Be a part of managing the strategic planning and tactical activities for the use of reality mapping Be a subject matter expert of all aspects related to the application of reality mapping in different industries Specify market requirements for current and future reality mapping processing products by conducting research supported by ongoing interaction with customers and non-customers Work closely with development and engineering professionals, especially product owners, to synchronize on development status, release timelines, and technical opportunities Develop, manage, and communicate product plan and work with marketing, sales, and global distributors to execute Continue to evaluate and evolve business models to help drive adoption and usage Execute light house projects in collaboration with Business Development and distributors Support tradeshows such as the Imagery Summit, Esri User Conference, and Intergeo Requirements 3+ years of practical experience in the geospatial field, focused on reality capture Demonstratable experience writing well-crafted user stories and/or use cases Experience working with UX/UI professionals on user-centered designs and usability Excellent written communication, storytelling, and persuasion skills The ability to understand technology and grasp technical concepts quickly Ability to travel on occasion to customer sites and conferences Basic experience in working with Python and JavaScript Bachelor's or master’s in computer science, business, engineering, or other analytical or technical field, depending on position level Recommended Qualifications Experience using reality capture in more than one industry Experience working with lidar point clouds Experience with geospatial technology, especially ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Pro Demonstratable projects implementing reality capture workflows in a commercial setting Pragmatic Institue certification(s) About Esri Our passion for improving quality of life through geography is at the heart of everything we do.
