Directly responsible for the effectiveness of new product launches through planning, scheduling and executing new product development system. This position evaluates and directs the work of subordinates. Work is performed under general supervision where strategies and goals are prescribed but independent action is required.Responsible for the following activities and outcomes:New Product launch timing and budget attainment.Prepare detailed schedules for new model and model year launchesDevelop new product and model change chartersHost weekly/bi-weekly cross functional meetings for current project updatesDefine and adhere to material cost targets for new productsNew Model and Model Year BOM component and costing analysisProvide direction, supervision and evaluation to documentation and test personnelOversight of new product integrationPlan and monitor engineering resource allocationManage design validation testing and report program for new models, including model year changesDevelop processes in support of New Product Development SystemAssist in annual ISO audit requirements pertaining to engineering processesInterface with tooling suppliers to ensure delivery schedules support production ramp plan(s)Evaluate new product launches for effectiveness and report out to Management team through launch scorecard and lessons learnedSupport MasterCraft Operational Excellence (OPEX) as neededWork closely with the Customer Service team members with anomalies and 90 Days of SummerAssist with creating Service Highlights memos for new model year enhancementsEducation & Work Experience:Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business preferred.
2-5+ years of project/program management experience or equivalent, preferably in an Engineering or Systems environment. Must have a strong background in developing systems and processes in a product development setting. Solid experience with data processing and analysis.
