No other certification qualify. Client is seeking an experienced project manager to join the PMO/Governance Team. Must have experience managing and providing leadership and guidance to project teams, in both Waterfall and Agile settings.
Proven track record in positively motivating teams and instilling accountability for on-time and within budget and scope. Successful track record for defining and implementing process improvement measures within project teams. Demonstrate understanding of project portfolio, lifecycle management and agile processes. Demonstrate understanding of governance processes, procedures and policies. Demonstrate competence in identifying risk areas and proactively mitigating the risks.
Ability to quickly and easily adapt to changing priorities, embracing the changes to provide leadership ad guidance. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Strong technical and functional understanding of MS Project, Project Server, SharePoint. Familiar with Agile values, principles, processes and methods. Experience on a variety of Scrum teams (size, culture, co-located, etc.) Skill Required / Desired Amount of Experience Experience managing and providing guidance to project teams Required 5 Years Experience working in a team environment Required 5 Years Experience managing projects following Waterfall and Agile Methodologies Required 2 Years Experience working with customers in gathering requirements, writing user stories, documenting business processes Required 2 Years Experience with managing/monitoring projects with Project Server Highly desired 2 Years Certifications in CSM and/or PMI-ACP Desired 2 Years PMP certification from PMI Required 2 Years Certification from VITA, as PM (no other certifications are accepted) Not Required 1 Years Experience with project managing/tracking tools - MS Project, Primavera, other Required 2 Years Experience with monitoring/tracking tools - TFS, HPQC Highly desired 1 Years Strong communication skills with peers and all levels of management Required 2 Years
