To Apply for this Job Click Here Job ID: 896534 Estimated Weekly Gross: $1,441.45 Job Title Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Location Joliet, IL | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | Onsite | Expected 32 hours/week | Every other weekend required | No call requirements Key Responsibilities Provide physical therapy assistant services to an adult inpatient population on a medical-surgical floor within a Level 2 Trauma facility Treat patients presenting with neurological, orthopedic, and general medical diagnoses Document patient care using Meditech EHR (transitioning to EPIC in November 2026) Collaborate with the therapy team and supervising therapist to implement individualized treatment plans Opportunity to float to the Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) if interested and qualified — not required Required Qualifications Active Illinois PTA license required Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant Ability to work a day shift schedule including every other weekend Preferred Experience / Skills Adult inpatient or Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) experience ICU experience is a plus, though not required Familiarity with neuro, orthopedic, and general medical patient populations Why Join Us Work in a large, established acute care facility with a collaborative therapy team in a dynamic clinical environment Joliet, IL offers easy access to Historic Route 66, downtown Chicago, Starved Rock State Park, Indiana Dunes National Park, and more — ideal for travelers looking to explore the Midwest during their assignment To Apply for this Job Click Here
