Complete Description: The Senior Oracle DBA - ETL Specialist will work on the Citywide Data Warehouse (CityDW) team developing databases that comprise the CityDW infrastructure environment. This infrastructure provides the foundation for business intelligence services and data transparency initiatives via reports creation, data integration, and application development. The resource will initially be part of an effort to develop a Citywide IT Spend Dashboard, as well as, making enhancements to the existing CityDW environment via performance tuning.
Their role will expand, however, to include other CityDW development projects. In addition to these responsibilities, the Senior Oracle DBA - ETL Specialist will also possess experience in developing ETL processes using the Informatica ETL tool. These responsibilities will be on par with those related to DBA work. ETL development responsibilities will entail supporting existing load processes and assisting the ETL lead with developing and installing new data sources to the existing Informatica architecture.
The candidate will work closely with the Data Architect, other DBAs, the ETL Lead, and data owners to bring new data sources online. Experience creating documentation is a plus. Required 2 Years 2 - Proficient Experience as an Oracle DBA Required 8 Years 3 - Expert Experience designing backup solutions using RMAN. Required 2 Years 3 - Expert Experience designing databases, data modeling and working as a DB developer in a data warehouse environment. Required 1 Years 2 - Proficient Experience developing with enterprise COTS ETL tools in a data warehousing environment (Informatica, BOBJ Data Integrator, Oracle Data Integrator).
Required 2 Years 2 - Proficient Experience in full life cycle development of applications. Required 2 Years 3 - Expert Experience in production support and monitoring of real-time ETL and batch ETL processes. Required 2 Years 3 - Expert Experience installing Oracle bug fixes and patching. Required 3 Years 3 - Expert Experience performance tuning of the database Required 1 Years 2 - Proficient Experience using RMAN to do database cloning to create test environments.
Required 2 Years 3 - Expert Experience with Oracle backup and recovery. Required 3 Years 3 - Expert Experience with Oracle Grid Control. Required 2 Years 3 - Expert Experience with SQL and the use of SQL and PL/SQL in transformations within enterprise COTS ETL tools. Required 2 Years 3 - Expert Experience with table space, installing new databases. Required 2 Years 3 - Expert Experience with the design, development, and implementation of source to target mappings from multiple data sources to Oracle databases.
