Software Development Agile Chapter Lead

Department: Information Systems Reports to:Software Development Team Lead Job purpose: As the Software Development Chapter Lead, you will support development of our web and mobile platforms and guest experiences as well as coach and mentor a chapter of web and mobile developers in the development and maintenance of the Arc’teryx customer facing web and mobile technology stack. In this role, you will contribute to the development of the platforms as well as coach, mentor, and support your team and contribute to the technology strategy for Arc’teryx digital properties.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities: POINTER-MARK You both contribute to agile development squads as a software developer at 75% velocity and dedicate 25% of velocity to coaching and mentoring developers across squads POINTER-MARK You provide direction and coaching to the web and mobile development teams in all phases of the project life cycle POINTER-MARK You are accountable for the development of functional specifications and designs for future focused complex applications or modifying/maintaining complex existing applications POINTER-MARK You consistently review the designs and code of team members, often in collaboration with colleagues and Architects POINTER-MARK You help design, code, debug and test unit test solutions as required POINTER-MARK You execute code analysis, requirements analysis, identification of code metrics, system risk analysis, and software reliability analysis POINTER-MARK You remain committed to a service-oriented design and analysis POINTER-MARK You conduct regular unit testing and quality assurance POINTER-MARK You execute performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability, automation POINTER-MARK You work to support, maintain and document new and existing solutions POINTER-MARK You continue to identify and evaluate new technologies for implementation POINTER-MARK You regularly collaborate and contribute to the continuous improvement of Arc’teryx SDLC, Project and other methodology POINTER-MARK You remain up to speed with new developments of web and mobile capabilities POINTER-MARK You work with project managers and program managers on project resourcing by ensuring developers are available at the right time, with the right skill set POINTER-MARK You check in with project managers and technical leaders to ensure team performance and direction is on track to achieve project goals to scope, time and budget POINTER-MARK You develop team members through coaching, mentoring, goal setting and ongoing assessment POINTER-MARK You inspire each team members’ creativity and problem-solving abilities Additional experience, education and/or skills: POINTER-MARK Required:POINTER-MARK You have 3+ years’ experience leading front end and back end developers POINTER-MARK You have 3+ years’ development experience in an Agile/Scrum environment POINTER-MARK You have 5+ years’ experience Full Stack web development POINTER-MARK You have 3+ years’ experience mobile application development POINTER-MARK You have strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills POINTER-MARK You have strong written and spoken English POINTER-MARK You have advanced knowledge of front-end web technologies (HTML,CSS, JS, Jquery, React Native, etc.), back-end web technologies (.Net, PHP etc.), ERP systems and integrations, and database technologies (MSSQL, MySQL) POINTER-MARK You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions POINTER-MARK You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity POINTER-MARK You are able to balance autonomy and collaboration POINTER-MARK You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement POINTER-MARK You seek the best (but sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right POINTER-MARK Your passion for your work is paralleled by your passion for getting outside and living it POINTER-MARK Assets:POINTER-MARK You have experience with Jira or similar scrum tools POINTER-MARK You have experience with Git or other source control tools POINTER-MARK You have experience with CDN implementation and management POINTER-MARK You have experience with Web Analytics and Business Intelligence POINTER-MARK You have experience with Ecommerce business processes POINTER-MARK You have strong knowledge of C# and VB.net POINTER-MARK You have strong knowledge of web and mobile infrastructure POINTER-MARK You have familiarity with a production or manufacturing environment POINTER-MARK You have strong knowledge or interest in the outdoor, ski, or sporting goods industries Equal OpportunityArc’teryx is committed to actively creating and fostering a culture of inclusivity where voices are heard, people are seen, and values are respected.
