Applications are invited to join the Specialist Nurse for Organ Retrieval and Ventricular assist devices (VAD) Coordinator team at Wythenshawe Hospital. As part of the Organ retrieval service team, the post holder will help facilitateassessment, procurement, preservation and safe transfer of heart and lungs for transplantation. As a Ventricular Assist Devices Coordinator, the post holder will facilitate the care and education of patients supported with a Ventricular Assist Device and their families from initial contact, work-up for implant, peri-operative period and long-term follow-up, maintaining excellent care across the VAD/Transplant continuum.
