We are looking for a Transport & Customs Team Leader for our client in Bocholt. In this role, you will play a key part in the logistics operations of a high-volume production environment with strict quality and compliance requirements. You will be responsible for the smooth, accurate and efficient handling of transport flows, export documentation, customs files and excise administration. In addition, you will manage a small team and act as the point of contact for internal stakeholders and external logistics partners.
In this role, you will combine operational oversight with clear leadership and process monitoring. You will ensure that deadlines are met, that files are complete and error-free, and that the logistics processes align with the needs of production, planning and administration. Your responsibilities: • Coordinating and monitoring national and international shipments, with a focus on exports and customs; • Ensuring the correct preparation and timely processing of export documents, customs files and excise duty returns; • Maintaining contacts with customs authorities, freight forwarders, hauliers and other logistics partners; • Managing and coaching staff within the transport and freight forwarding departments; • Monitoring transport planning, delivery reliability and operational priorities; • Identifying deviations, risks and areas for improvement, and actively contributing to process optimisation; • Ensuring compliance with legislation, internal procedures and quality requirements; • Reporting to management on progress, bottlenecks and proposals for improvement.
