Job Title CT Technologist Location Springfield, IL | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM | Weekends as needed | No call required Key Responsibilities Perform a broad range of CT imaging studies including abdomen, pelvis, chest, head, neck, spine, and musculoskeletal exams, with and without contrast Conduct advanced CT procedures including vascular chest imaging (e.g., pulmonary embolism, CTA, aorta) and Coronary CTA Execute image post-processing and display techniques including 3D rendering (MIP, surface shaded displays, volume rendering), multiplanar reconstruction (MPR), and region of interest (ROI) measurements Prepare and administer contrast media, perform venipuncture and peripheral IV starts, and adhere to radiation safety and isolation precaution protocols Operate within an acute care environment supporting Adult Acute Care, Adult Outpatient, ICU, Emergency Department, and Level I Trauma settings Document and chart using Cerner EMR Required Qualifications ARRT certification required ARRT-CT (CT specialty certification) required BLS certification required (AHA or Red Cross accepted; RQI cards not accepted) Active Illinois state license required at time of submission, or must be actively in the application process with an estimated completion date Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience required Local candidates are welcome — no radius restriction Preferred Experience / Skills Experience in Level I Trauma, ICU, and Emergency Department imaging environments Proficiency with Cerner charting system Experience with coronary CTA and advanced vascular imaging protocols Familiarity with isolation precaution procedures in an acute care hospital setting Why Join Us Opportunity to work at a Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma Center with a robust and diverse CT caseload across multiple clinical settings No call required, with complimentary parking available on-site
