This role provides technical leadership that connects customer requirements with optical interconnect and silicon solutions, influencingproductadoptionandlong-termbusinessgrowth.Thepositioncombinescustomer-facingengineeringengagementwithcross-functionalcollaborationacrossbusinessdevelopment,productmanagement,andengineeringteams. Howyouwillmakeanimpact: Leadpre-salestechnicalengagementfor Ciena ’sInterconnectsportfolioacrosshyperscalers,OEM/ODMs,andAI/computesystempartners.
Drivelabbring-up,debugging,interoperabilityvalidation,configuration,andperformancetestingactivities. Translatecustomersystemarchitecturesandrequirementsintotechnicalsolutionrecommendationsandproductroadmapinput. Guidecomplexdesign-winopportunitiesfromevaluationthroughproductioninpartnershipwithbusinessdevelopmentandaccountteams. Serveastheprimarytechnicalinterfaceforproof-of-concepts,interoperabilityevents,complianceactivities,andearlydeployments.
Delivertechnicalworkshops,productdemonstrations,architecturereviews,andexecutive-leveltechnicalpresentations. Gatherecosystem,competitive,silicon,andopticalinterconnectinsightstoinformproductlifecyclemanagementandroadmapalignment. Themusthaves: Experience:~10yearsinsales/solutionsengineering,high-speedhardware,opticalinterconnect,siliconbring-up,ordatacentersystemsengineering. ApplicationofDSP/retimer,SERDES,optics/pluggables,AEC/ACC,PCIe,Ethernet,high-speedtestequipment,orrelatedtechnologies.
ExperienceworkingdirectlywithAsia-basedhyperscalers,cloudbuilders,OEMs,orODMs. Utilizationofoscilloscopes,BERTs,IBIS-AMI,simulationtools,orsignalintegritytoolsfordebuggingandvalidationactivities. Education:Bachelor’sdegreeinElectricalEngineering,ComputerEngineering,orasimilarfield. FluentMandarinandprofessionalEnglishcommunicationskills,includingwrittenandspokencommunication. Documentation,presentation,andcommunicationskillssupportingcollaborationacrossengineering,productmanagement,andcommercialteams.
Nicetohaves: Education:Master’sdegreeinElectricalEngineering,ComputerEngineering,orasimilarfield. ReadingproficiencyinTraditionalChinesetosupportTaiwancustomerengagement.
