Infrastructure Engineer

Job Description : Linux & Oracle Private cloud Competencies: ❖ Experience in Redhat Linux, Oracle Linux, VCS Configuration, and VVR setup. ❖ Raids, LVM, Veritas Volume Manager 5.x, Veritas cluster, Cluster File System (CFS) ❖ VCS, VVR, Redhat Cluster Suite installing/configuration and troubleshooting. ❖ OLVM Manager build and configure the Oracle VM(Standalone/RAC) ❖ Oracle RAC setup configuration, ASM disk addition/deletion.

❖ Performed RHEL6 to RHEL7 upgrade using Ansible ❖ VTM patching/package installation using chef/spacewalk tool. ❖ OLVM Manager configuration and upgradation. ❖ OAT Testing for DELL/HP Frames as part of DC Migration. ❖ Troubleshooting issues with operating system and hardware ❖ Processing requests such as creating file systems, and growing file systems online using different kinds of volume managers (VxVM, LVM, VXFS).

❖ Worked on Redhat Physical, Oracle Linux & Oracle Virtualization servers. ❖ Linux OS upgrade, kernel patching, OS bundle, firmware upgrades ❖ Configure the Storage in Hypervisor. Present and Unpresent the storage repository for the frame. ❖ Experience in P to P Project, P to X project, SunSolaris to X project and DC migration. ❖ Supporting HP DL GEN8/9/10, DELL Poweredge, X-Fusion Hardware ❖ Creating and managing virtual machines and installing VM Tools into VM’s.

❖ Configure RAID and LVM advance file system. ❖ Experience on disk mirroring and VG export and import. ❖ Configure and Manage basic services (Disk, Network, etc.) on Redhat Operating system. ❖ Installation, Configuration and maintenance of Linux Server. ❖ Install, remove and query new packages using rpm and yum/spacewalk, SUMA. ❖ Network bonding configuration. ❖ Experience on ext3,ext4/xfs filesystems.

❖ Performance Tuning - Top, Free, Sar, mpstat, iostat, netstat ❖ Performing daily performance checks using top, sar and vmstat commands. ❖ Hands-on with root password recovery. ❖ Expertise in configure the NFS servers, autofs, DNS servers on Linux servers ❖ Creating and managing the NAS file systems. VMware/Esxi Competencies: ❖ Design, implement, and maintain VMware vSphere virtualization infrastructure, including ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and vSAN ❖ Configure and manage virtual networks, storage, and other virtualization components ❖ Monitor and troubleshoot VMware vSphere environment for performance and availability ❖ Create and maintain documentation for VMware vSphere environment ❖ Design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans ❖ Specialized on VMware ESX, ESXI with vCenter Management ❖ Expertise in configure, build, implement and administrator ESXI servers including patches and updates, and assist in resolving associated system outages and other incidents.

❖ Excellent experience and knowledge with design installation and implementing VMware ESX server, VMware virtual center, setting up V-Motion, HA, DRS, and related VMware product as such as VM Workstation, VMware converter VM Backup product and other products for virtualization. ❖ Expertise on ESXI Architecture, guest OS installation, setting up of VM priorities, Cloning, and Snapshots. ❖ Expertise in DR plan and Disaster Recovery Exercises.

❖ Expertise in VM V-Motion, Storage V-Motion, Vcenter to Vcenter migration. Fusion Compute Competencies: ❖ VM migration from VMware to Fusion compute using migration director ❖ Huawei FusionCompute / FusionManager / FusionAccess ❖ Cluster Configuration (HA, DRS, Live Migration) ❖ Storage and Network Virtualization (DVS, FC) ❖ Host Management & Capacity Planning ❖ Manage host registration, resource pool configuration, and virtual machine lifecycle operations.

❖ Coordinate with network and storage teams for virtual switch (vSwitch) setup, VLAN tagging, and storage LUN assignments. ❖ Manage day-to-day BAU operations of Huawei FusionCompute clusters across production and DR sites.
