Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mechanical / Electrical (M&E) Engineer to join our team. As an M&E Engineer, you will be responsible for managing, designing, and overseeing the installation of mechanical and electrical systems for our construction projects. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that all M&E building services operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with local regulations.

Responsibilities: Design, plan, and oversee the installation of building services including HVAC, electrical power, lighting, plumbing, and fire protection systems. Prepare and review M&E shop drawings, schematic diagrams, load calculations, and technical specifications. Provide technical support to the Quantity Surveying (QS) team by assisting with M&E cost estimations, verifying material quantities, and evaluating variation orders and progress claims.

Coordinate closely with architects, structural engineers, main contractors, and sub-contractors to resolve technical clashes and integration issues on-site. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure all M&E works are executed safely, on schedule, and strictly comply with regulatory standards (e.g., BCA, NEA, SCDF) and project specifications. Manage and supervise the Testing and Commissioning (T&C) of all mechanical and electrical equipment prior to handover.

Review and evaluate sub-contractor submissions, including material approvals, method statements, and Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals. Monitor project progress, identify potential technical issues early, and implement effective engineering solutions. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience working as an M&E Engineer in the building and construction industry, with at least 2 years of relevant experience.

Strong working knowledge of local Singapore building codes, safety regulations, and statutory requirements (e.g., SCDF, BCA, CP5). Proficiency in engineering software and tools, such as AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit / Building Information Modeling (BIM) is a strong advantage. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
