Project Engineer (Building Construction)

Company Summary: Julian Grey’s client is an established construction and engineering organisation with a strong track record in delivering large-scale building and infrastructure projects. Responsibilities Support the Assistant Project Manager in managing building and construction projects, including residential, industrial and commercial developments. Interpret project plans and estimate construction costs and material quantities.

Assist in preparing temporary works plans, designs and drawings for construction projects. Provide technical engineering input for tenders to ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, codes, specifications and design instructions. Assist in preparing and evaluating cost estimates and documentation for tender and contract bids. Develop and review architectural and engineering drawings to ensure compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.

Coordinate with architects, engineers and other technical professionals to ensure design intent is fulfilled. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and Construction Management. Knowledge of building and structural details, working drawings and local construction practices. Familiarity with tender and bidding processes, engineering standards, and local building, construction and safety regulations.
