QUALITY ENGINEER

The Quality Engineer ensures product conforms to our customers’ requirements and assists with responding to customer concerns related to product quality in order to deliver exceptional experiences and outcomes. Area(s) of Responsibility • Perform final quality control (QC) checks on inspected product to ensure it conforms to our customers’ requirements • Provide training and technical support and assist with responding to customer concerns related to product quality • Conduct internal QMS and ESD audit Essential Functions • Review inspection results and, as needed, perform supplemental inspections on product to determine acceptability of product • Document results of final QC checks in Velocity’s ERP system • Communicate inspection findings to the Purchasing and Sales teams and advise on the actions necessary to resolve issues (if applicable) • Coordinate with the Operations Manager to ensure Inspectors are performing inspections to standard • Conduct inspection skills and technical trainings for quality inspectors • Provide technical support to Sales and Purchasing Departments • Assist the Quality Manager in Customer Corrective Action Request • Perform other duties as requested by management Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Traits Education • Diploma in Electronics Engineering or Electrical Electronics Engineering Experience • Minimum 2 years of experience performing quality inspection on electronic components with demonstrated ability to make valid conformance decisions Knowledge • Expert product knowledge • Familiar with complex ERP systems • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Office (or similar), and web browsers • Understanding of basic math, including percentages and tolerances Traits • Able to effectively coordinate and communicate with others • Able to handle high levels of stress and large workloads • Able to work on several projects simultaneously • Independent • Adaptable and Flexible • Dedicated • Detail-oriented and thorough • Excellent time management skills • Exceptional judgment • Organized • Problem solver • Quick learner • Strong written and verbal communication skills
