We’re looking for a Backend Engineer to join our client’s team and be part of a transformative journey towards next-generation payment capabilities. You will play a critical role in delivering Future State Architecture (FSA) for payment processing, introducing a lean and reusable payment processing engine.
This engine will become the core of future payment capabilities, providing high-speed, cost-effective, and high-quality product delivery. Strong engineering background in back-end microservices development , application security, authentication, caching, and middleware. Advanced programming skills in Java (Go and Rust are a plus). Familiarity with Spring Boot and distributed systems design. Knowledge of Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes , and experience with observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Jaeger). Expertise in cloud environments , networking, identity and access management, and DevOps methodologies.
Experience working in financial institutions , preferably in payment systems. Strong leadership abilities to mentor and inspire the team, coupled with critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Excellent English communication skills , both written and verbal. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
