Hands-on experience in installation, customization, and maintenance of Db2 for z/OS and SMP/E within an MVS/z/OS environment. Deep understanding of relational database concepts, IBM utilities, JCL, access methods, file structures, and Db2 monitoring tools. Practical experience implementing RACF or ACF2 Db2 security authorization models and executing Disaster Recovery (DR) protocols. High proficiency with ecosystem tools and ISV software from IBM, Broadcom, and Computer Associates (CA).
Experience participating in large-scale complex projects to design and implement mainframe database solutions. Excellent root-cause analysis skills paired with strong written and spoken English communication skills. Prior experience in banking, financial services, or enterprise commercial environments is highly preferred.
