Job Shift: Days Job Type: Full Time Up to $10,000 SOB for qualified candidates, paid over 24 months. The Surgical Technologist assists with the nursing care of the patients in the OR by performing routine and delegated duties according to the standards of practice and policy and procedures under the supervision of a registered nurse at all times. Serves as a scrub nurse, but not independently as a circulating nurse.
Other duties include stocking, replenishing, preparing, and/or selecting supplies and equipment for storage or use during surgical procedures. Assists with housekeeping functions to maintain cleanliness in the OR. Activities are directed toward achieving desired patient outcomes. Demonstrates the ability to interpret information to identify the patient’s age specific needs and provides appropriate care for the age group in question.
Minimum Education High school graduate or GED Minimum Experience Clinical experience of at least one year, or graduate of Surgical Tech Program. Licensure Graduate of a Surgical Technologist program or equivalent, or On the Job Training Certification Basic Life Support Certification in the field preferred #LI-MQ1
