Under direct supervision performs the less skilled work required in the inspection, repair, installation and removal of all types of power plant and substation electrical equipment. Core Responsibilities Assists in performing any work required for the construction and maintenance of all types of conductors, structures, plants and equipment employed in the production and distribution of electrical energy, such as: Repairing, installing, testing, removing or replacing motors, generators, rotaries, rectifiers, batteries, transformers, regulators, reactors, circuit breakers, disconnecting switches, instruments, control relays, lighting equipment, lightning arrestors and all other allied equipment with control apparatus.
Performs routine clerical work such as field reports, material requisitions, time sheets, etc. Performs other similar or less skilled work as required. Required Education/Experience High School Diploma/GED Relevant Work Experience Applicant must be in sound physical condition. Required Orientation at Ford Substation or alternate location. Required Must have aptitude for this work must pass a validated entry level examination and interview.
Required Must pass a physical fitness test and mechanical hands on test. Required Must pass job task capacity test. Required 2 years Two (2) years experience with electro-mechanical equipment or equivalent. Required Must have at least six (6) months experience with the Company, or its equivalent. Required Qualified bidders will be subject to alcohol/drug testing as required by governmental regulations.
Required Pass the DOT physical examination and issued a medical clearance card for operation of CDL vehicles. Required Licenses and Certifications Driver's License Required Additional Physical Demands Must have the ability to climb and work in elevated locations must pass associated physical examination.
