Equipment Engineer IV - Asset & Records Control - Akron Fairlawn

The Asset Management team is responsible for developing strategies that support the safe, reliable, and cost-effective management of FirstEnergy's asset fleet. The team works closely with engineering, operations, maintenance, and planning organizations to evaluate asset condition and performance, manage risk, prioritize investments, and support long-term reliability objectives. To support this work, we are seeking an Engineer to provide technical leadership for Distribution assets, with a focus on substation breakers, line breakers, reclosers, and related equipment.

This role will evaluate asset health, performance, and risk; develop asset and spare strategies; support investment planning and asset replacement decisions; assess emerging technologies and monitoring solutions; and work with stakeholders across the organization to improve reliability and long-term fleet performance.
