Job Type : Full Time Job Shift: Nights Holiday Rotation: Department: Laboratory Performs venous and capillary phlebotomy and ensures specimen integrity; maintains specimen integrity and follows proper labeling protocols. Processes specimens. Additional responsibilities include assisting the Clinical Laboratory Scientists with the analysis of specimens, performs clerical functions and assists in stocking and maintaining laboratory supply inventory.
Performs other duties as required. EDUCATION: HIGH SCHOOL OR EQUIVALENT Preferred TRAINING: Phlebotomy training sufficient to be certified in the State of CA. LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: State of California Phlebotomist certification required. Healthcare Provider BLS required within 6 months of assuming position. EXPERIENCE: 6 months phlebotomy experience or formal training; 1 year of experience preferred.
