Corporate Partner / Corporate Senior Counsel

Description Handler Law, LLP is an internationally recognized firm based in downtown Chicago that focuses on Business & Corporate Law; Private Client Trusts & Estates and Taxation; Philanthropy Law and Tax-Exempt Organizations; serving primarily affluent families, family offices, privately held companies and sports entertainment. We are seeking a highly motivated Partner or Senior Level Attorney with 10+ years of experience in business transactions, corporate governance and compliance, private equity, securities offerings and mergers and acquisitions.

Skills/Abilities Desired: Detail oriented, strong work organization skills, ability to work and problem solve independently Proficient in Microsoft Office – specifically Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams Solid verbal and written communication skills High level of professionalism; ability to act with discretion and tact in all situations Ability to maintain organized electronic and paper records and produce work product in a timely and desirable manner Ability to manage numerous projects in a fast-paced environment Key Responsibilities: Negotiating and drafting business agreements Closing private equity and venture capital investment transactions Drafting private placement offerings for small businesses and investment funds Organizing companies, including limited liability companies and corporations and drafting all organizational documents Requirements JD; candidates with 10+ years’ business, financial or tax qualifications (LL.M., CFP, CPA, MBA, MST) Law Review or Business Law Journal experience preferred Excellent written and oral communication skills Detail oriented with exceptional organization Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a positive and timely manner while producing a high-quality work product Salary/Compensation: $200,000.00 - $600,000.00 , commensurate upon experience and qualifications Discretionary annual bonus Generous benefits and annual firm social events (Holiday Season Dinner, Tax Party and Periodic conferences & Client Receptions) Employee Lounge with coffee, tea, soft drinks and snack food Additional Job Position Information: Job Title: Partner / Senior Counsel Work Environment: This role is primarily office-based, with minimal travel required for court visits or client meetings Reporting Structure: Reports to the Partners Salary: Salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations Pay Range: $200,000.00 - $600,000.00 , depending on experience Location: Chicago, Illinois Employment Type: Full-time Equal Opportunity Statement: We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
