and walking/standing for extended time periods Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check Responsibilities Ability to recognize and solve typical problems that can occur in own work area without supervisory approval Detailing structural steel-drilling/cutting holes and slots, coping, notching per engineering drawings Continuously improve the processes by working with the management team for more efficiency Analyzes drawings and specifications to plan welding operations Proficiently uses all tools related to the welding process.
Inspect welds for accuracy and quality, and make necessary adjustments or repairs as needed Perform basic housekeeping to keep work area clean and safe Perform duties assigned Experience Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. 3 + years of welding heavy steel Welding Certification from a Vocational School or College 5 + years experience as a Mig welder 3 + years of overhead crane/rigging experience required High School Diploma or GED Forklift experience preferred but not required Must have excellent attendance
