About the role Sofive runs indoor and outdoor soccer facilities across the US, where kids, adults and clubs come to play, train and compete every day. As a Janitor, you’ll join the facility operations team at your center and keep the building clean, safe and welcoming for players, families and staff. You’ll report to the Facility/General Manager and work closely with front desk staff, coaches and the maintenance team.
Shifts may include early mornings, evenings and weekends, which are our busiest times. What you'll do Clean and sanitize restrooms, locker rooms, lobbies, offices, party rooms and spectator areas on a set schedule, and restock soap, paper products and other supplies. Sweep, mop, vacuum and scrub floors, and keep entrances and walkways free of debris, water and (in season) snow and ice. Empty trash and recycling throughout the facility and take it to the dumpsters.
Clean and tidy the field areas between sessions, including benches, goals and turf edges. Report any damaged nets, turf or equipment. Clean glass, doors, railings, water fountains and other high-touch surfaces throughout the day. Set up and break down rooms and spaces for birthday parties, camps, tournaments and events. Respond quickly to spills and other cleanup needs during operating hours. Use and store cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and correctly, and track supply levels so the manager can reorder.
Report maintenance problems (leaks, lighting, HVAC, broken fixtures) and any safety hazards to the manager right away. Follow the facility’s opening and closing checklists, and secure the building when required. Qualifications Prior janitorial, custodial or facility cleaning experience preferred but not required. We’ll train the right person. Reliable, punctual and able to work independently from a checklist.
Takes pride in details and keeps things looking good without being asked. Friendly and respectful with customers, including lots of young players and their families. Able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, kneel, and lift up to 40–50 lbs. Available for flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and some holidays. Knowledge of safe chemical handling is a plus. Must be 18 or older and able to pass a background check, since the facility serves youth programs.
