Responsible for the direction and evaluation of patient care delivery. Maintains operational aspects of patient care unit in collaboration with other service areas. Maintains interdepartmental quality controls and provides for departmental participation in performance improvement within the Maternity units and hospital-wide. Education/Certificates/Licenses: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; baccalaureate degree, Masters preferred.
Currently licensed as a professional nurse in state. 5 + years of Acute Hospital Clinical Nursing required. Three to Five years of Management experience in area of specialty. BLS/ACLS or other certification in Specialty area required. Qualifications Does this describe you? Willing to look at candidate with less than 5 years experience if they are SUPER strong. Must have Maternal Child experience not just L&D.
Strong Mother baby postparteum experience. Must be currently a director or above. Must come from a mid size-large union hospital. A candidate who has received leadership training that has provided them with significant learning opportunities such as Six Sigma, Lean, etc. Need a person who can get in an roll up their sleeves. Someone who's had lots of experience with budgeting and service line growth and day to day department functions.
