About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the This position is located at the U.S. Cyber Command, Fort Meade, Maryland.
Major duties: Serves as the J82, Program and Budget Division Chief and principal advisor to the Deputy, J8 and staff on all program and budget issues affecting the U.S. Cyber Command Budget Estimate Submission and President’s Budget Submission. Directs programs under the Joint Staff office of Resource Management and is delegated to coordinate the functions of budgeting, manpower control, programming, acquisition management oversight, and in-sourcing/out-sourcing programs.
Shares external representational duties with the director on various committees, boards, working groups, and other intra- and inter-agency forums. Establishes annual, multi-year, and long-range forecasts and plans for manpower, budget and accounting requirements. Fully supervises subordinates to include establishing priorities and work schedules and assigns and evaluates work Education: Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.
