Major duties: Apply expertise in financial and military pay systems to develop new financial management systems for the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS). Coordinate with DoD-level managers to ensure new systems are consistent with pay and accounting objectives. Review and analyze regulations and legislation, and participate in developing information and decision briefings for management approval.
Define functional requirements, develop test plans, create training materials, and develop system documentation. Collaborate with other analysts and specialists to plan, develop, test, document, validate, train, and evaluate new financial management systems. Education: Education is not substitutable for specialized experience at this grade level.
