You will serve as a INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (DATA MANAGMENT) in NCIS. All Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) positions are in the excepted service. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status. Major duties: You will lead in building infrastructure and processes required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources.
You will develop and maintain data applications programming interfaces (APIs), extract-transform-load (ETL) processes, and data integration systems. You will Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements – automate manual processes, optimize data delivery, and re-design infrastructure for greater scalability, reliability, and quality. You will identify opportunities for data acquisition.
You will keep abreast of new information technologies applicable to NCIS systems and data engineering. You will implement continuous improvements to efficiency and effectiveness,experience, knowledge, or skills required for each level.
