This position is assigned to the Information and Communication Management Section of the US Mission to the United Nations (USUN/ICM) in New York City. This position serves as an Information Technology Specialist and technical expert, maintaining awareness of new and emerging technologies to provide up-to-date technical assistance to USUN staff. Major duties: Plan, develop, and implement a range of automated functions, e.g., operating systems, communications, database management, and systems administration.
Identifies customer requirements, develops technical approaches, and coordinates project resources related to project costs and schedules. Creates, develops, and implements strategies for populating, testing, and maintaining databases. Oversees implementation of technologies to ensure information systems reliability and accessibility. Provides advanced troubleshooting to identify and isolates deficiencies, isolate sources and root causes, and recommend strategies for correction.
Provides presentation support including delivery, set up, adjustment and operation of a variety of audiovisual (AV) equipment. Education: Education requirements do not apply to this vacancy announcement.
