About the Position: The Logistics Management Specialist, provides logistical support for the assigned areas. Responsibilities include assistance in development and execution of maximum utilization of logistical resources. Logistical support is provided in such areas as supply, maintenance, transportation, fleet and facilities. Major duties: Provide guidance, prepare, and recommend new or revised procedures and regulations for local application.
Provide input and monitors the budget for logistical requirements. Review requisitions against authorized allowances, according to the appropriate authorization document. Identify supply problem areas, determine required corrective action, and provide information to the District Logistics Manager (DLM) on the findings of evaluations, reports, and summaries. Initiate and recommend actions in the establishment of annual service contracts, as well as inter-service support contracts relating to subsistence support.
Provide input to be used in analyzing and assessing the streamlining of processes to improve customer service. Education: FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S.
