About the Position: This position is located at the Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center in Fort Hood, Texas. This position is for night shift. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Major duties: Process specimens using equipment, instruments, or techniques that are necessary to prepare them for specific analysis.
Serves as a medical technologist in the clinical laboratory. Evaluates and selects reagents and supplies maintaining proper inventory of supplies. Select, perform evaluate, and monitor the performance of routine, non-routine, and specialized test procedure. Maintain and calibrate instruments. Responsible for performing a variety of procedures in the areas of chemistry, urinalysis, hematology, and serology.
Perform a variety of procedures in the areas of chemistry, urinalysis, hematology, serology, bacteriology, parasitology, and immunohematology including complex analyses and infrequently requested tests. Use and maintain equipment. Set up and evaluate quality controls. Analyze toxic and therapeutic drug levels, solving CBC problems, body fluid differentials, direct blood smears, blood cultures, emergency ABO typing, Rh typing, and cross matching Education: FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S.
