This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) in DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Responds to and investigates emergency calls, complaints and other calls for service. Collects and preserves evidence, conducts short-term investigations on criminal cases and analyze facts to identify suspects and develops case information for use in pressing charges and bringing suspect to trial. Performs required lifesaving first aid in the event of an emergency as the first responder to an incident until medical emergency personnel arrive. Conducts traffic LE patrol using specialized equipment such as radar, Lidar and breathalyzer.
Conducts investigative stops, questions, detains, and issues traffic citations as required. Performs protection duties to deter, detect, and deny unauthorized access at fixed installation, internal compound, and incident perimeter posts. Operates the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) terminal in accordance with federal and state laws to transcribe data.
