About the Position This is a Practical Nurse position, GS-0620-06, located at Army Health Clinic, Fort Detrick, Maryland. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Major duties: Take vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respirations, pain level, height, weight, measurement of head circumference, and length).
Perform mental health screening. Document patients' chief complaints and other pertinent information in the health record. Provide individualized nursing care to patients based upon the physician's medical care plan, the nursing assessment, and the physical, mental, and emotional needs of the patient. Administer oxygen, IV fluid and prescribed oral, rectal, subcutaneous, and administration. Education: See Education Requirements Above
