Supervisory Medical Records Administration Specialist

About the Position: This is a Supervisory Medical Records Administration Specialist at WINN Army Community Hospital located at Fort Stewart, Georgia. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. Major duties: Analyze medical records to ensure accurate documentation and correct assignment of medical codes. Conduct audits of medical records, Ambulatory Data Systems (ADS) data, and coding accuracy; identify trends and implement corrective actions to improve data quality.

Manage automated systems such as, MHS GENESIS, Coding Compliance Editor (CCE), and Ambulatory Data System (ADS), correcting transmission errors and monitoring system performance. Compile and analyze statistical data, workload measures, relative value units, and coding accuracy, preparing reports and recommendations for leadership. Develop, maintain, and revise coding guidelines; provide technical oversight and ensure coding compliance and accuracy across the organization.

Advise leadership on coding compliance, diagnosis related group optimization, documentation quality, and third party collection program requirements. Supervise and manage staff involved in coding, record management, reporting, release of information, and related administrative functions. Provide training and education to coding staff, medical personnel, and other healthcare professionals on coding standards, documentation requirements, and system use.

Education: FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S.
