About the Position: This position is in the Intensive Care Unit and located at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. A recruitment or relocation incentive MAY BE authorized for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Salary negotiation MAY BE available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Advanced In Hire (AIH) MAY BE authorized for highly qualified candidates.
This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Major duties: Provides comprehensive professional nursing care to critically ill patients in an Adult ICU. Assesses nursing needs and develops and implements a Plan of Care for each patient consistent with recognized professional nursing standards, evidence-based practice, and augmented with prescribed medical care. Conducts and participates in the development, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of facility, departmental, or unit-based programs.
Participates in department’s in-services, unit meetings/briefings, EBP, and in continuing quality improvement measures. Supervises assigned employees. Manages the delivery of nursing care, utilizing knowledge of an extensive range of professional nursing theories, principles, and procedures. Education: FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S.
