Job Description: This position is responsible for the overall maintenance ensuring that all facilities are safe, clean, and fully operational. In addition, the role involves monitoring, inspecting, and performing routine maintenance on all shop machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance, prevent downtime, and address any mechanical or operational issues promptly. The position requires close attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and collaboration with other team members to support efficient operations and maintain a high standard of facility and equipment readiness at all times.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Monitor and maintain all electrical and mechanical equipment to ensure it is operating properly Responsible for maintaining production and support equipment (systems: electrical, control and mechanical) Interpret engineering drawings and schematics to maintain the operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment of complex parts Manage the preventative maintenance schedule and complete work orders as scheduled Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and system failures, and perform corrective maintenance and repairs in a timely and effective manner.
Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Assist in the maintenance and repair of mobile equipment, including loaders, trucks, and rail equipment. Inspect equipment for defects, wear, and damage, and perform necessary repairs or replacements. Operate a variety of hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment, to perform maintenance tasks.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment inspections, and repairs. Ensure that all maintenance activities are performed in compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies. Assist in the management of spare parts inventory, ensuring that critical parts are readily available. Participate in safety meetings, training programs, and emergency response drills.
